Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and team orientated CNC 5-Axis Milling Center Operator to be responsible for operating high speed, fully automated CNC 5-Axis machines in our temperature-controlled environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC 5-Axis milling machine centers with Mazak controls
- Familiar with checking, setting up programs and measuring tool offsets
- Select proper cutting tools, fixtures and tool holders for each specific job
- Machine parts to hold tolerances per drawing and engineering specifications
- Knowledge of verifying dimensions using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various measuring devices
- Familiar with working on VTLs such as Mazak Controlled Machining Centers
- Responsible for reporting malfunctions, replacing worn tools, and cleaning debris from machine
- Familiar with operating lifting devices for movement of materials and other equipment as needed
- Experience working in AS9100 and ISO9000 environment a plus
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
Requirements:
- Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Comfort with working with close tolerances
- At least 5-8 years of experience as a machinist in a precision machine shop with CAM/CAD experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Conversational & G-Codes a must
- Ability to follow instructions and drawings with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
