Job Summary:
We are looking for CNC Machinist Lathe Operator to be responsible for operating and monitoring CNC lathe machines and performing turning, boring and threading functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Familiar with general lathe machine operation and mechanical skills
- Familiar with checking, setting up programs and measuring tool offsets
- Knowledge of verifying dimensions using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various measuring devices
- Familiar with working on lathes such as Mazak and Fanuc Controlled Turning Centers
- Responsible for reporting malfunctions, replacing worn tools, and cleaning debris from machine
- Familiar with operating lifting devices for movement of materials and other equipment as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
Requirements:
- Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Ability to operate measuring instruments and operate Mazak or FANUC controls
- Comfort with working with close tolerances
- At least 1 year of experience as a machine operator is preferred
- Knowledge of GD&T preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and drawings with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow proper safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
