Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced machinist/engineer to create CNC programs for manufacturing components and job specific fixturing for CNC mills and lathes. As the CNC programmer, you will play an essential role in creating programs using Mastercam for 3, 4, 5, axis CNC milling machines and horizontal and vertical spindle machines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create instructions and programs for machinists
  • Review 3D models and CAD blueprints
  • Make calculations for programming including where materials should be cut
  • Translate instructions into a computer automated manufacturing program (CAD)
  • Check completed programs by running simulations or tests
  • Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software
  • Determine sequence of operations in a program
  • Choose cutting tools that will be needed
  • Analyze job orders and perform necessary calculations
  • Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency
  • Analyze and select speed and cutting tools for programs
  • Implement improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes

Requirements:

  • Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with superior programming skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Mastercam (2017 or higher), Solidworks and G-code
  • Working knowledge of FANUC and Mazatrol Controls
  • Excellent working knowledge of GD&T of blueprint reading
  • Working knowledge of machine probing systems for in-process part measurement
  • Knowledge and familiarity with a machine shop environment
