Job Summary:
We are looking for a Process Engineer to be responsible with developing and improving manufacturing processes to meet customer expectations, quality control, cost control and consistency standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a traveler package and customer drawings to complete the manufacturing process
- Create approved for manufacturing drawings, flat patterns, outsource drawings, and other documents needed to create a complete successful manufacturing process
- Modify traveler packages and attach prints as needed per customer specifications
- Recommend and implement improvements and cost-effective manufacturing process and methods based on machining process, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers on production inquires
- Provide input and analysis for procedural changes to include in processes and work instructions
- Collaborate with Production Manager, Engineering, Quality and Machinists to meet customer specifications
- Knowledge of durable and perishable tooling available for use at Tech-Max, including their uses, limitations, and lifespans
Requirements:
- Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering preferred
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a machine shop environment
- Hands on experience with machining process; including milling, turning and 5-Axis preferred
- Working knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T of blueprint reading and scheduling
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Mastercam, and Solidworks
- Knowledge and familiarity working in a fast-paced machine shop environment
- Excellent organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail
