Our CNC Wire EDM Department is our high tech answer to the ever-changing demands of complex machining.
Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a nontraditional method of removing metal by a series of rapidly recurring electrical discharges between an electrode (the cutting tool, in this case a wire) and the work piece. The minute metal chips are removed by melting and vaporization and are washed away by the continuously flushing dielectric fluid.
Wire EDM can cut materials regardless of hardness or toughness and is only limited to machining of electrically conductive work piece materials. This is well suited for parts which are made from materials difficult to machine or are odd-shaped with intricate contours.
CNC WIRE EDM MACHINE
1 – CNC state-of-the-art fully submersible wire EDM machine is amongst the biggest around. It can cut steel up to 20” thick and can handle a rectangular part 30” long x 24” wide – truly an EDM machine that handles LARGE PARTS!
Common Parts machined are Mold blocks, extrusion dies, fixtures and gears after heat treating.
TRUST OUR EXPERTISE
We understand these are complex parts in low volumes, something we specialize in. Our team is eager to earn your trust and confidence!
